Requirements
What you need before you install Whitrack.
Whitrack runs anywhere Node runs. Here's what to have ready.
Runtime
- Node.js 20+ (or Docker, which bundles everything)
- PostgreSQL 15+ for the database
- S3-compatible storage for job photos, AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, MinIO, etc.
Integrations
- A Twilio account if you want SMS appointment reminders (optional)
- An SMTP provider for transactional email
Skills
If you can run a few terminal commands and edit a .env file, you can install
Whitrack yourself. If not, our launch service does it for
you.
Hardware
A small VPS (1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM) handles a single crew comfortably. Scale up as your team grows.
